Breast Cancer Recovery Exercise Program (BCREP)
BCREP provides personal training services to cancer survivors and focuses on recovery and prevention at the point where medical intervention and physical therapy conclude. The goal of the program is to help participants gain or regain a level of fitness that enhances their overall lifestyle. This is accomplished by increasing shoulder range of motion and overall flexibility, preventing the onset of lymphedema, improving cardiovascular health and muscular strength, introducing relaxation techniques, and reviewing healthy eating habits. By the end of the program, participants will be able to incorporate healthy habits into an enjoyable lifestyle. The initial consultation is free.

BCREP is funded in part by the Southwest Michigan Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This grant can provide financial assistance to those clients unable to pay for this service in part or in whole. If you or someone you know would benefit from the Breast Cancer Recover Exercise Program, please contact the YMCA at 428-9622.
