Y-Dolphin Swimmers compete in both HOME and AWAY Swim Meets. |
 |
FALL & WINTER meets are generally held on Saturdays and SUMMER meets are
generally held on Wednesdays. |
 |
When the Y-Dolphins host a home meet, parents are asked to help organize and run
the meet; parents volunteer as timers, scorekeepers, etc. No experience is necessary,
experienced parents assist newcomers! |
 |
Interested parents are encouraged to take special training to become swim meet
officials. Information will be disseminated about these sessions at Dolphin Parent
Organization meetings. |
 |
Parents provide transportation to away meets. car pooling lists will be posted on
the Dolphins bulletin board. |
 |
On the average, half of the swim meets are out of town. Away swim meets are held
at YMCAs in Grand Haven, Sturgis, Niles, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Kalamazoo and Battle
Creek. In the summer, the Y-Dolphins compete against teams in the Michiana area. |
 |
Y-Dolphin swimmers will also have the opportunity to swim in regional and state
meets |
