instructor. |
The
class level will help you determine the best class for your needs; however, other factors
should be considered when choosing a class. For example, while step is considered low
impact, adding power moves as is done in Step Cardio increases the impact. |

To
receive most benefit from our classes, attend aerobic and flexibility classes at least
three times a week and strengthening classes at least twice a week. |
When
first attending a new type of class, please exercise at a moderate pace to reduce the
chance of muscle stiffness and risk of injury. |
Please
discuss class options with your instructor or Aerobics Coordinator Nancy Gitlin; they will
be happy to help choose the best class for you. |

· |
Consult your
physician and/or physical therapist before attending new classes. |
· |
Speak with the class instructor to
discuss modifications to use in class and get information about the class you wish to
attend. |
· |
Lower the
resistance or do fewer repetitions. |
· |
Discontinue the exercise and speak
to the instructor if a particular exercise aggravates your condition. |
